We have a close partnership with the Dorset Energy Advice Centre who provides all our Energy Performance Certificates, which will be required by law for all tenancies beginning from the 1st October 2008. They also offer free or heavily discounted energy saving schemes and products, which would increase your property’s Energy Performance Rating and therefore it’s appeal to potential tenants.
Our deposits are always at least £200 more than a month’s rent to safeguard against any potential damage. In addition, a 3rd Party company prepares an Inventory and Schedule of Plight and Condition for the Property, which will include fixtures and fittings and furniture where appropriate, which ensures that both the deposit and the property will be safeguarded against any bias.
Prospective tenants are vetted carefully and thoroughly, including where appropriate credit checks and bank references. They are always instructed to read our thorough Tenancy Agreement, so that they know exactly how to comply by the terms therein.
